About The Position
AppDirect is seeking an experienced Manager, Accounting professional to join their team. This role is responsible for leading the accounting functions in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and ownership throughout the close cycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and internal controls. This position also involves managing a team, partnering with auditors and investors, and supporting financial integrations and multinational entities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to full-cycle close and financial reporting
- 2+ years managing direct reports in an accounting or finance function
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and acquisitions is considered an asset.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable enterprise ERP system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll regularly present financial information to leadership and work across departments, so clarity matters

Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery across all reporting cycles
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting investor reporting as needed
- Own the general ledger — maintaining the system, reviewing journal entries, and ensuring reconciliations are complete and correct
- Develop and enforce internal financial controls and procedures that keep AppDirect audit-ready year-round
- Partner with the external audit team annually, coordinating documentation and responses across the finance function
- Manage and grow a team of at least two direct reports, providing coaching, feedback, and clear direction on priorities
- Support acquisition-related financial integrations as they arise, working cross-functionally to ensure a smooth transition
- Support multinational foreign entities and assist with financial consolidation processes.
