Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 busy seasons in public accounting
Ability to comprehend and apply generally accepted accounting principles, and research and analyze accounting related issues
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships across the organization
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Healthcare experience
Experience with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials
Ability to understand and implement reinsurance accounting

Responsibilities

Implement and administer new reinsurance agreements
Assist with PeopleSoft ledger tree management
Oversee, coach and develop staff
Provide supporting documentation for internal/external and regulatory audits
Communicate effectively with auditors at appropriate levels to resolve issues and findings and prepare responses
Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process, as needed
Review and/or prepare 401k employee benefit plan financial statements
Support and/or provide backup for various Corporate Accounting activities as requested and accounting related projects as assigned
Perform ad hoc projects, reporting, and consulting with segment finance teams
