Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely financial insights that support business performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting for assigned business units, enabling leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the integrity of general ledger activities, including oversight of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Manage and execute the monthly close cycle, ensuring accurate and timely production of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Review balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improved financial performance.
  • Partner with business unit stakeholders as a trusted advisor, serving as the primary point of contact for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Drive process improvements by evaluating current workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best practices across accounting operations.
  • Oversee balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support financial reporting cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual), ensuring completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Manage operational setup activities for new business units, including banking, tax registrations, and system configurations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and business leaders to align financial insights with organizational priorities.
  • Inspire and motivate your team, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and high performance.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor team members while continuously improving your own technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Own the month-end close and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
