About The Position

arrivia is seeking a Manager, Accounting Operations to lead the close, strengthen financial reporting, and develop our accounting team. This is a hybrid position based in Scottsdale, with four days per week onsite. About the Role Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and lead a team of senior and staff accountants. Your priority is reliable execution: accurate reconciliations, well-supported journal entries, and financial reporting delivered on time. You will work across a complex, multi-entity business with intercompany activity, revenue share, capital expenditures, and lease accounting. Alongside these responsibilities, you will coach early-career accountants and improve the processes and systems that support a scalable accounting function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hands-on experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules at a manager level.
  • Experience in a complex, multi-entity environment with intercompany activity.
  • Demonstrated ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Experience coaching and developing accounting professionals, including early-career staff.
  • Clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities with limited oversight.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Scottsdale office four days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • ASC 842 lease accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with revenue share and capital expenditure accounting is a significant advantage.
  • Experience improving accounting processes, implementing systems, or introducing automation.
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, keeping deliverables accurate and on schedule.
  • Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules, resolving issues before they affect reporting.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations across entities.
  • Manage accounting for revenue share, capital expenditures, accruals, operating expenses, and leases under ASC 842.
  • Support financial statement preparation and annual audit activities with clear, complete documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies, providing guidance on complex transactions and emerging business initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor senior and staff accountants, building technical capability, accountability, and confidence.
  • Document accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls and consistent working practices.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual work and improve the efficiency of recurring accounting activities.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives that improve reporting and support growth.
