Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline and a CPA designation.
  • You have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the industry and/or in a complex multi-company environment.
  • You demonstrate solid accounting skills and are fully familiar with ASPE.
  • You possess strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • You stand out for your team spirit, interpersonal skills, and experience managing small teams.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving entrepreneurial environment.
  • You are customer service oriented.
  • You are fluent in French and in English, as you will have to communicate with unilingual English-speaking employees and service providers across Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ERP systems, and in particular Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Vena is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting, analysis, and financial reporting for assigned Lines of Business, while providing insights on performance and contributing to quarterly business reviews.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to support business performance analysis and decision-making.
  • Contribute to Board of Directors documentation and oversee the preparation of financial reports for various stakeholders.
  • Lead your team’s participation in forecasts and budgets in collaboration with FP&A.
  • Manage and develop a small team of financial analysts while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Continuously optimize and automate month-end processes to improve efficiency and focus on value-added activities.
  • Support the integration of acquisitions into VG accounting and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to year-end and interim audit preparation.
  • Ensure processes, procedures, and financial controls under your responsibility remain current and effective.
