About The Position

The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of management of the AccessHealth Greenville County (AHGC) grant program, with a primary commitment to implementing stated grant goals and objectives to assist low-income, uninsured residents in accessing healthcare and supportive services. The Program Director shall endeavor to work with partner organizations across the Greenville services area to expand the program's ability to expand capacity and overcome barriers to meet the diverse needs of the community in accordance with the organization's mission and vision. The Program Director is also the principal spokesperson responsible for the public image of the program and articulation of the program's public stance. This is a grant-funded position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Services or related field of study.
  • Three (3) years of community health promotion or program management experience
  • Knowledge of office equipment
  • Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily oversight of program operations
  • Oversees health navigation of participants to include enrollment and authorizations for health care services, managing daily operations of the department and partnership associations to ensure that program goals are met.
  • Works to ensure team has resources needed to provide excellent service to patients and partners.
  • Coordinates and convenes regular team meetings and huddles to promote communication and teamwork.
  • Serves as the liaison between participants, medical homes and other providers to help provide effective health navigation services to participants.
  • Conducts regular site visits with community partners.
  • Attends events and programs hosted by community partners.
  • Works to develop program goals, coordinate and implement sustainable program improvement activities, monitor and analyze performance through data, and implement corrective action to improve outcomes.
  • Manages and evaluates effectiveness of program staff including conducting annual performance reviews as well as participating in hiring and firing decisions.
  • Monitors monthly, semi-annual, and ad hoc reports to evaluate goal performance and other reporting outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
