About The Position

University College is seeking a Management Intern to support student engagement, communications, and administrative operations for the Work+Learn unit. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive graduate student who is interested in program management, student success initiatives, and data-informed decision-making within a higher education setting. The Management Intern will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of initiatives and pilots within Principled Innovation Academy, Work-integrated Learning, and Work+. This includes assisting with project coordination, stakeholder communication, student recruitment and engagement efforts, data collection and reporting, and day-to-day operational activities. Through this work, the intern will help advance programs that foster student success while applying the principles of character, civic-mindedness, and innovation to create meaningful impact. The intern will have opportunities to contribute across multiple projects and workstreams, helping move strategic initiatives from planning through implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement. This position offers hands-on experience in program management, project coordination, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic higher education environment. The Management Intern will work closely with professional staff and campus partners, gaining valuable experience in managing complex initiatives, analyzing program outcomes, and supporting innovative student success efforts. The ideal candidate is adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of projects while balancing multiple priorities. The MI must be a current ASU Graduate student and enrolled in classes. Note that this is a time-limited role, and employment ends on December 20th, 2026.

  • Interest in coordinating projects, programs, events, or initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Interest in program management, operations, assessment, process improvement, or student success initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of Work+Learn programs, initiatives, and pilot projects.
  • Assist with project planning, timeline tracking, task coordination, and follow-up activities to ensure initiatives remain on schedule.
  • Coordinate communications with students, campus partners, and other stakeholders through email, presentations, marketing materials, and virtual platforms.
  • Support student recruitment, outreach, onboarding, and engagement efforts for Work+Learn programs and initiatives.
  • Collect, organize, track, and analyze program data to support assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain project documentation, process guides, meeting notes, and operational records.
  • Assist with the development of reports, presentations, dashboards, and other materials used to communicate program outcomes and recommendations.
  • Monitor day-to-day operational activities and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and participant experience.
  • Support event planning, logistics, and execution for workshops, trainings, meetings, and special events.
  • Collaborate with team members and campus partners to advance departmental goals and strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to the overall Work+Learn department through event support, attending meetings, and other special projects as assigned.
