About The Position

University College is seeking a Management Intern to support student engagement, communications, and administrative operations for the Principled Innovation Academy (PI Academy) within the Work+Learn department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive graduate student who is interested in program management, event coordination, and data-informed decision-making within a higher education setting. PI Academy is a program that seeks to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to identify and tackle real-world challenges, using problem-solving techniques that promote innovation and ethical leadership. The Management Intern will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of PI Academy programming. This includes coordinating communications with students and faculty, assisting with event logistics and facilitation, developing program materials, and contributing to data analysis and reporting efforts. The intern will collaborate closely with staff and student coordinators to ensure a high-quality and engaging experience for all participants. The MI must be a current ASU Graduate student and enrolled in classes. Note that this is a time-limited role, and employment ends on December 20th, 2026.

  • Experience with event planning, coordination, or program management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage various audiences in all modalities
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience developing presentations, reports, or student-facing materials (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, Google Slides)
  • Experience working in higher education, student programs, or peer leadership roles
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with administrative processes such as purchasing, budgeting, or expense tracking (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with public speaking and workshop facilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general guidance and support to the student program coordinators
  • Meet regularly with student program coordinators as a group and one-on-one
  • Develop and deliver training to student program coordinators to ensure they are prepared for upcoming sessions and events
  • Communicate with students throughout the program lifecycle (registration, reminders, follow-ups)
  • Coordinate with faculty and internal partners for upcoming events
  • Distribute program materials, including workbooks, invitations, and updates
  • Develop and update resources and materials for PI Academy events
  • Produce promotional content in collaboration with internal design team
  • Review, evaluate, and provide feedback to both student coordinators and program participants
  • Assist with the organization, facilitation, and moderation of PI Academy events
  • Coordinate event logistics, including catering and materials
  • Provide on-site support to student coordinators
  • Ensure all appropriate business processes and administrative tasks are completed timely and accurately
  • Track and record communication and engagement for reporting needs
  • Contribute to the overall Work+Learn department through event support, attending meetings, and other special projects as assigned
