About The Position

Augsburg University's Department of Business and Economics is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member for a one-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal, to begin August 17, 2026. This position focuses on teaching Information Systems (IS) courses, including MIS management, MIS operations, Enterprise Data Management, MIS strategy and implementation, and SQL and data visualization. The course load is seven courses per year. If renewed, service to the Department may be expected in subsequent years, such as student advising, committee work, and collaboration on departmental initiatives. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in information systems or a closely related field.
  • Prior teaching and/or mentoring experience.
  • Demonstrated success in teaching and serving students from diverse communities.
  • Ability to teach courses in MIS management, MIS operations, Enterprise Data Management, MIS strategy and implementation, and SQL and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated abilities working in an academic community committed to intentional diversity.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA with at least five years of information systems experience.

Responsibilities
