About The Position

Augsburg University's Department of Business and Economics is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member for a one-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal, beginning August 17, 2026. This position involves teaching courses in Information Systems (IS), including MIS management, MIS operations, Enterprise Data Management, MIS strategy and implementation, and SQL and data visualization. The typical course load is seven courses per year. If the appointment is renewed, service to the Department may be expected, such as student advising, committee work, and collaboration on departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in information systems or a closely related field
• Prior teaching and/or mentoring experience
• Demonstrated success in teaching and serving students from diverse communities

Nice To Haves

• MBA with at least five years of information systems experience

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Information Systems (IS), including MIS management, MIS operations, Enterprise Data Management, MIS strategy and implementation, and SQL and data visualization.
• Serve on departmental and university committees (if renewed).

• Collaborate on departmental and programmatic initiatives (if renewed).
