About The Position

The Management and Program Analyst serves as the Lead Experiential Learning Facilitator and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Civilian Guardian Course (CGC). The incumbent is an expert in a relevant area such as Space Operations, Cyber, Intelligence, Civilian Development, leading through core values, or innovation. The role delivers immersive, cohort-based, inquiry-driven instruction that connects newly hired and existing civilian Guardians to the United States Space Force (USSF) space warfighting mission. It guides, mentors, and coaches students through complex operational problem-solving while building space-mindedness, shared Guardian identity, and understanding of how civilian roles enable space superiority. The employee independently plans and carries out assignments in support of an academic department, defines solutions to complex problems, analyzes and reports project findings, and guides the technical and programmatic work of junior team members. The position plans, develops, and executes the CGC training program and oversees discipline-specific training for civilian Space Force Guardians and sister-service professionals. It prepares and presents curriculum materials, recommends training aids and devices, maintains classroom decorum, and ensures necessary supplies, equipment, and classrooms are available. As the Space Mission Area Program Expert, the incumbent owns the content within their Mission Area Team (MAT), leads curriculum analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, and ensures current information is presented. The role mentors instructors, oversees their onboarding and development, delivers recurring instructor training, and integrates the discipline into complex final student evaluations. It also leads special projects and studies supporting Guardian training, development, and culture; coordinates with internal and external stakeholders; and gathers operational feedback to assess and improve course content and the blended learning model. The position is located at Peterson SFB, Colorado, with the future Guardian Campus location to be determined. Situational telework is permitted. The position may involve periodic travel for cohort engagements, curriculum reviews, campus planning, operational or training activities, and TDY assignments by military or commercial aircraft. Eligible applicants may receive relocation assistance or PCS funding, subject to final budget authority and applicable regulations.
