The Village of Tinley Park is seeking a talented and motivated Management Analyst to support the Village Manager's Office. This role provides administrative and analytical support by conducting research, coordinating projects, and assisting with the administration of Village programs and services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or other closely related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years related experience in municipal government, public body, or other closely related service field.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Recent MPA graduate with a desire to service residents and businesses in a municipal government setting.
  • Outstanding work ethic, positive attitude, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Provide internal administrative support on a variety of projects.
  • Prepare studies and reports for decision-making purposes.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental projects and organizational initiatives from conception through implementation.
  • Conduct research and analysis regarding proposals for programs, grants, services, etc.
  • Evaluate assigned village programs, policies, systems, workflows, and/or service delivery practices to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Assist in the development, administration, and monitoring of grants, strategic plan, organizational performance measures, and other enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Support the Village's risk management function through administration of liability claims, including data entry, follow-up on claim information, tracking legal matters, and coordinating legal services.
  • Perform FOIA liaison duties, including researching, compiling, and submitting responses to FOIA requests for the Village Manager’s Office.
  • Serve as staff liaison to assigned boards, commissions, and committees, preparing meeting materials, providing administrative support, maintaining official records, and ensuring compliance with records retention requirements.
  • Display extraordinary customer service, interact with the public, respond to phone and visitor inquiries, and redirect calls to appropriate staff.
  • Respond to questions and inquiries from the public and other Village departments.

Benefits

  • Hiring Pay Range: $68,000 - $78,000, DOQ
