About The Position

Management Analyst III is the third and highest or senior level class for Management Analysts. This role performs complex technical work involving budget and management investigations, surveys, research, and related work in reviewing methods, procedures, policies, and organizations of various city programs and departments. The analyst designs and conducts complex organization surveys and program evaluations to recommend improvements in performance, coordination, efficiency, and control of city activities. Additionally, they design, develop, and implement revised management and budget procedures, and recommend actions affecting broad policy and procedural changes.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related fields and/or five (5) years of related work experience are required.
  • A knowledge of the methodology of conducting surveys and investigations.
  • A basic knowledge of budgeting and statistics.
  • The ability to plan and organize management studies and to follow through on their completion.
  • The ability to organize and present effective oral and written reports.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, department heads, officials, and the general public.
