Perform advanced (senior level) consultative services and program work for the Vendor Outreach Branch (VOB) of the Vendor Management & Operations (VMO) Unit. Work supports the United States Department of Agriculture Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. As Team Lead, responsible for outreach and communication activities for the Vendor Outreach Branch, coordinating vendor online and face-to-face training, technical assistance, vendor materials, vendor complaints, general inquiries, reviewing the quarterly vendor shopping surveys, reporting of data, and vendor correspondence. Oversee the performance of WIC vendor training curriculum development and implementation, vendor agreements (contracts), and the new vendor application process. Assist in developing strategic planning actions and make recommendations to improve business workflows. Responsible for policy and procedure development and revisions, conducting onsite training, outreach and reviewing staff findings for consistency in implementation. Involved in technology development to ensure the unit’s needs are met and assist with any projects involving the branch. Trains, leads, assigns, and/or prioritizes the work of others. Represent the Unit at various functions statewide. Work under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
