About The Position

This position supports the budgetary, accounting, and contracting needs of the Community Planning and Transportation Planning Cost Centers. Regular duties include reconciliation of costs that get distributed across programs, making payments to contractors, managing grants, purchasing card transaction approvals, and completing expenditure batches for internal services. Annual responsibilities include budget development, year end grant reconciliation and reporting, and monitoring and supporting Annexation and Plan Amendment activities. This position is currently eligible for hybrid work located in Hillsboro, OR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in public or business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting or a related field that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities; OR Associate's Degree in public or business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting or a related field that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities; AND two (2) years of responsible professional work experience in administrative, operations, budgetary, financial, or similar analysis; OR Four (4) years of responsible work experience in administrative, operations, budgetary, and similar analyses.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing to convey information to others.
  • Research and analyze financial, budgetary, operational, and organizational problems, evaluate alternatives, and reach sound, logical, fact-based conclusions and recommendations.
  • Maintain files, records, and documentation
  • Prepare a budget.
