About The Position

As a Management Aide/Application Specialist, you will perform administrative and clerical activities to process applications for Public Housing, Section 8, and State Programs. Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family housing developments, or properties owned or administered by public housing agencies; or One (1) year of comparable business, industrial, or professional employment; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
  • Conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and schedule your day with the goal of processing and completing Public Housing applications, ensuring compliance with all policies and requirements.
  • Conduct interviews with applicants.
  • Review background information.
  • Maintain various informational program logs.
  • Assist the Tenant Selection Supervisor with running background reports, application correspondence, application files, and application communications.
  • Make eligibility determinations.
  • Notify applicants of decisions.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Assist with receptionist duties to include answering phone calls and greeting applicants.
