About The Position

The Managed Transportation Specialist Intern will work with dedicated managed transportation customer account(s). This position will learn routing optimization, carrier tracking, and work on continuous improvement projects that will directly impact Ruan and its customers. The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or applicable division. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the transportation business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. This position works very closely with internal and external customers; strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentation material
• Provide day-to-day business activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs
• Fully support financial business case analysis
• Participate in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects, and provide technical support in managing the business unit's financial performance.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
