About The Position

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Managed Dealer Inventory Analyst out of our Avon, IN facility. The Managed Dealer Inventory Analyst position requires frequent interaction with dealership management, operational personnel, and internal business partners. The successful incumbent must be able to combine strong analytical capabilities with exceptional customer relationship skills to drive inventory performance and support long-term dealer success. The role serves as a key link between HYMH and its dealer network, helping ensure inventory strategies support both customer satisfaction and business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials management, inventory planning, forecasting, supply chain, technical support, data analysis, or information systems. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with inventory replenishment, distribution, or demand planning processes preferred.
  • Customer-facing experience in a service, operational, or business environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting, and distribution concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Access and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple business systems and software applications.
  • Ability to understand dealer operations and apply system cross-reference mapping effectively.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment and manage changing business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with dealers and affiliates to support inventory planning, forecasting, and ongoing program management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships and affiliate personnel to support a successful MDI program.
  • Serve as the primary contact for dealer inventory questions, operational support, and issue resolution.
  • Develop inventory plans and forecasting parameters that align with dealer needs, business goals, and market conditions.
  • Monitor inventory performance and recommend adjustments to improve availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Manage inventory setup activities, balancing efforts, and ongoing inventory optimization across multiple dealer locations.
  • Maintain system parameters and proactively address inventory exceptions to ensure effective program performance.
  • Analyze inventory data, trends, and customer requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate activities with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and marketing partners to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and program-related information.
  • Gather dealer feedback and communicate recommendations that support continuous improvement of MDI processes and systems.
