About The Position

The Inventory Specialist Vendor Managed I is responsible for managing and replenishing inventory at assigned customer locations. This position develops familiarity with customer organizations, inventory requirements, processes, and procedures while ensuring inventory availability and service excellence. The role operates within established Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes and customer agreements.

Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
2–4 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, parts operations, or related field.
Working knowledge of inventory management and replenishment principles.
Ability to analyze inventory and sales data and communicate findings effectively.
Proficient problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting applications.
Valid driver's license.
Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Ordering, tracking, replenishing, and reporting inventory levels for assigned customer inventory locations.
Collecting sales and inventory data and maintaining weekly reporting to support inventory management activities.
Performing routine forecasting activities to support product availability and customer service requirements.
Monitoring inventory performance and identifying potential stock-outs, excess inventory, or service concerns.
Reporting inventory issues, forecasting gaps, and replenishment concerns as they arise.
Supporting inventory optimization efforts through data analysis and process compliance.
Establishing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with customer contacts.
Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and VMI operating procedures.
Supporting inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Traveling to customer locations as required.
