About The Position

This is a contract position for a Managed Care Specialist, expected to last 8-9 months. The role is hybrid and based in Nashville, TN. The primary responsibility is to determine individual and family eligibility for care programs. This involves conducting client interviews, collecting information, and compiling case data to make recommendations to an attorney. The specialist will also manage casework, including documentation and resolution, perform legal research, analyze legal papers, and draft legal documents. Accurate documentation of findings and efficient use of multiple databases for information extraction are key. The role also includes attending workgroup meetings, participating in discussions, and assisting the leadership team as needed. The position requires coordinating and communicating schedules to internal and external clients.

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's or associate degree.
  • Proven technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet specific deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Strong time management, note-taking, email organization, and distribution skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in Paralegal studies is a plus.
  • Work experience in a Legal environment a plus.
  • Customer service or call centre experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Determine individual and family eligibility for care programs.
