About The Position

Freeman Health System is a locally owned, not-for-profit health system dedicated to improving the health of the communities it serves through contemporary, innovative, quality healthcare solutions. Based in Joplin, Missouri, it is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to over 450,000 people across Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The system includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital, Ozark Center (behavioral health), urgent care clinics, physician clinics, and specialty services. The Radiology department operates with twelve-hour shifts, state-of-the-art digital equipment, and serves as a teaching department for students in MRI, X-Ray, and Ultrasound. The team consists of experienced professionals with excellent communication and a positive work environment with Radiologists. The Mammography Technologist is responsible for examinations at Freeman West and Neosho hospital locations, providing direct patient care to patients of all ages, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. Both full-time (36 hours) and PRN positions are available.

Requirements

• Eligible to take the advanced registry in mammography
• Registered in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Nice To Haves

• Registered in Radiography and Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• If not registered in mammography, will be in 6 months

Responsibilities

• Responsible for examinations provided at Freeman West and Neosho hospital locations
• Provides direct patient care to all ages of patients
• Contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care
