About The Position
Colorado Springs Imaging is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to join our team! This role performs routine and diagnostic exams relating to breast anatomy to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed

- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
- Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Registry in Mammography (M)
- Complete 40 hours of mammography orientation
- Complete 8 hours of 3D tomosynthesis training (if applicable)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Two plus years’ experience in Mammography
Responsibilities
- Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image. Also provides patient education on breast self-examination as needed.
- Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtains prior imaging as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
- Transfers images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinates procedure protocols with Radiologist.
- Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
- Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
