About The Position

Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), a subsidiary of Unified Women’s Healthcare, provides in-office breast imaging within affiliated OBGYN practices. The Mammography Technologist performs 3D digital mammography and Bone Dexa scans to assist with diagnosing disease. The role requires strong mammography knowledge, the ability to work independently, problem-solving skills, and a focus on high-quality service. The position is based at an affiliated practice at 10115 Forest Hill Blvd Suite 301, Wellington, FL 33414, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• Required ARRT Registration R.T.(R).
• Required ARRT Certification in Mammography (M).
• State Department of Radiation Control License, if applicable.
• Maintain registry status and continuing education.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English.
• Ability to read and write in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging, Bone Dexa scans, and quality control procedures.
• Ensure mammography equipment functions properly and address malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
• Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess image quality, and verify patient information.
• Complete patient information requirements and necessary paperwork accurately.
• Complete administrative tasks to support timely exam interpretation.
• Complete medical records, including consents and billing, and monitor supplies.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results and escalate delays to management or a radiologist when turnaround times exceed standards.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator.
