About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a busy imaging department in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, image quality, and compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.
Requirements
- ARRT Credentialed in Breast Mammography.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
- NYS License/Registration or eligibility required.
- Associate Degree (AAS) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of progressive Mammography Technologist experience.
- Current CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and prepare them for examinations.
- Position patients appropriately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Utilize proper exposure techniques and imaging protocols.
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with ACR Mammography QA/QC guidelines and Hologic Selenia Dimensions QC requirements.
- Track and document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Ensure accurate documentation for billing and compliance purposes.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
- Participate in continuing education activities required by MQSA.
- Support departmental operations and maintain quality patient care standards.
