Mammography Technologist - Paid Training Program
About The Position
Women's Imaging Specialists is hiring ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologists for our Paid Mammography Training Pathway across GA & AL. Complete training, get certified, and step directly into a guaranteed Mammography Technologist role with us. This program offers full-time pay and structured mentorship through an ARRT-recognized pathway, leading to guaranteed job placement upon certification with a 2-year commitment. The role operates exclusively in outpatient centers, eliminating nights, weekends, and hospital on-call duties. Upon transitioning to a Mammography Tech, a competitive pay increase is provided. Benefits, including health, dental, vision, and PTO, begin on day 61, with 401k available after 6 months. Women’s Imaging Specialists is the Southeast’s leading women’s imaging provider with 18 locations across GA & AL, focused on the early detection of breast cancer and osteoporosis using advanced 2D/3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and bone densitometry in a patient-first, team-focused environment.
Requirements
- ARRT (R) certification and active state license
- BLS certification
- Full commitment to completing training + 2-year role commitment post-certification
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology + EMR systems preferred
- Mammography certification not required to start - we’ll train you!
Responsibilities
- Complete hands-on clinical training with experienced mammography tech mentors
- Learn 2D/3D digital mammography, patient positioning, and MQSA protocols
- Master patient education and compassionate care for screening + diagnostic exams
- Prepare for your ARRT (M) certification exam with full support
- Perform screening & diagnostic mammograms in a supportive outpatient setting
- Educate patients on breast health and the importance of early detection
- Work M-F, daytime hours only - predictable schedule, no call
