About The Position

Logan Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our Radiology team in Kalispell. This full-time position offers variable hours and provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact through the early detection and prevention of breast cancer. X-ray Technologists with an interest in mammography are encouraged to apply—training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Valid Montana State Radiologic Technologist license
  • BLS certification
  • Current Driver’s License required as applicable to assigned area(s)
  • Must possess a good driving record clear of moving violations within the past five (5) years and no major driving offenses (DUI, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize and function both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Mammography certification preferred or must be successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred
  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required
  • Minimum one (1) year experience preferred in one or more of the following specialty areas: Quality control, Breast sonography, Stereotactic biopsies

Responsibilities

  • Properly identify and prepare patients for mammography exams, clearly explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
  • Obtain and accurately document relevant patient history and exam-related information
  • Perform mammography imaging and process images for radiologist interpretation
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with departmental protocols
  • Ensure patients understand exam results and available options as communicated by the Radiologist
  • Perform daily start-up, end-of-day, and next-day preparation duties per department procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including stocking and inventory control
  • Assist with quality assurance activities and preparation for ACR and FDA accreditation
  • Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development related to mammography
