About The Position

The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice focused on prevention and longevity. They are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their founding Los Angeles team. This role involves performing high-quality mammography and DEXA scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort, maintaining equipment quality control, and accurately documenting images. The technologist will also assist with other imaging modalities as needed and adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role contributing to the development of clinical operations in a growing organization.

Requirements

  • California CRT: Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • California Mammography Certification: Valid California Mammography Technologist Certificate.
  • Continuing Education: Must maintain 24 Category A CE credits every two years, including at least 15 credits specifically in Mammography (as required by MQSA/RHB).
  • Precision: An obsession with detail and image quality.
  • Excellence: A drive to meet the highest clinical standards in a boutique, "member-first" setting.
  • Adaptability: Readiness to tackle the challenges of a fast-paced, evolving clinical environment.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program; Vocational or Technical School Diploma preferred.
  • Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) registration in good standing.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association).
  • 2+ years of dedicated experience as a Technologist in Mammography and DEXA.
  • Must be a compassionate and effective communicator with strong tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to a collegial work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred ARRT certification in Bone Densitometry (BD)

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality Screening/Diagnostic Mammography and DEXA (Bone Densitometry) scans in strict accordance with Atria safety protocols and California state regulations.
  • Assume full responsibility for patient safety during imaging.
  • Utilize proper positioning tools, equipment adjustments, and ergonomically correct techniques to ensure both diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort.
  • Communicate procedures clearly and compassionately, adapting your style to the patient’s level of understanding.
  • Maintain professional boundaries by referring specific diagnostic or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician.
  • Perform daily/weekly Quality Control (QC) tests on Mammography and DEXA equipment to ensure compliance with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) and California RHB requirements.
  • As authorized, assist the clinical team by supporting other imaging modalities (e.g., MRI Focus or CT) to maintain seamless departmental workflow.
  • Ensure all images are accurately documented, labeled, and archived within the PACS/RIS (Athena/Ambra) for radiologist review.
