About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a friendly, professional, and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join their team. The role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a patient-focused clinical environment. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The technologist will be responsible for preparing patients, performing mammography procedures, assisting with advanced procedures, and maintaining equipment. Collaboration with radiologists and adherence to ACR guidelines are essential.

Requirements

  • Certified by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) OR licensed to perform general radiographic procedures in the state of Utah REQUIRED.
  • Completion of 40 hours of mammography training.
  • Completion of 25 mammography exams under direct supervision of an MQSA-qualified individual.
  • Completion of 8 hours of training in mammographic modality.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with imaging equipment.
  • Current BLS certification.

  • Experience with breast ultrasound preferred (or willingness to train).
  • Passion for patient care and ability to communicate courteously and effectively.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable, flexible, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated independent judgment in performing procedures and managing complex situations.
  • Ability to perform exams on patients of all ages and genders using appropriate protocols and ACR guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Prepare patients for mammography exams, including pre-screening, reviewing medical history, and proper gowning.
  • Perform mammography procedures using proper positioning and technique to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Assist in optimizing and implementing imaging protocols to enhance image quality.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and willingness to assist colleagues as needed.
  • Assist with advanced mammography procedures.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, safety standards, and sterile techniques.
