About The Position

This is a part-time Mammography Technologist position requiring two 12-hour shifts per week. Available shift times include 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, or 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM. Specific days of the week will be discussed during the interview process. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with no weekend or on-call requirements. You will be required to work one holiday shift per year. Performs quality diagnostic and screening mammographic studies utilizing a knowledge of anatomic positions. Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and adjusting equipment as needed. Reviews prior imaging to attain and/or improve tissue visualization as compared to prior studies. Complies with FDA MQSA Regulations. Assists with mammographs, ultrasound, and MR guided breast localizations and biopsies. May perform screening breast ultrasound procedures as required by local facility.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certification in Mammography (M) through the ARRT within 12 months of hire.
  • If performing breast ultrasound, must obtain credential through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): RT(S)(BS), or RT(R)(M)(BS); within 18 months of hire.
  • Current license through Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Ability to learn breast ultrasound procedures, if applicable.
