About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This position involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity, with potential for assigned independent responsibilities. The role also includes practicing infection control, maintaining patient confidentiality, operating PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, and attending mandatory education. The technologist will be responsible for the proper care of the client in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have 2 Years X-Ray experience, 1 year current experience required.
  • Must have 2 Years Current MAMMOGRAPHY experience.
  • Must have ARRT (R) Certification.
  • Must have ARRT (M) Certification.
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS)(AHA) certification during employment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need.
  • Perm address must be included in traveler profile.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
  • WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
  • Apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
  • May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
  • Provide proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
  • Practice infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications.
  • Attend annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
  • Maintain department competencies as required.
