About The Position
Works closely with all Mammography personnel including the Mammography Supervisor, Administrative Director, and Radiologists to perform technical procedures in Breast Health Center.
Requirements
- Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or registry eligible
- Current licensure to practice professional radiographer in Louisiana
- CPR certification
- Must maintain required hours of inservice per year to meet requirements for CEU’s as stipulated by the AART
- Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel
- Basic Math Skills
- Requires emotional stability and resilience
- Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight
- Exhibits organizational and leadership ability
- Shows ability to gain and maintain support and respect
- Ability to concentrate on detailed work with constant interruption; to understand and relate to specific ideas generally, several at a time, and remember multiple tasks given to self and others over long periods of time
- Ability to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department without affecting departmental flow; perform moderately difficult manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination skills
- Ability to operate various types of mammography equipment and to utilize the hospital computer system and in an efficient and proper manner
