About The Position

Deliver exceptional mammography imaging services by accurately preparing and positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, and capturing high-quality images to ensure precise diagnostic outcomes. Empower and educate patients by clearly explaining procedures and highlighting the vital role regular mammography plays in preventive breast health, fostering a supportive and reassuring environment. Maintain rigorous quality and safety standards by evaluating image technical quality (density, contrast, definition), applying strict radiation safety guidelines, and ensuring flawless data submissions to PACS. Champion equipment integrity and environmental care by monitoring machine functionality, reporting technical malfunctions promptly, and maintaining a clean, orderly clinical space to optimize the patient experience.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 Months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and position patients for mammography imaging.
  • Select appropriate technical parameters for image capture.
  • Capture high-quality mammography images for precise diagnostic outcomes.
  • Explain procedures to patients and highlight the importance of regular mammography for preventive breast health.
  • Evaluate image technical quality (density, contrast, definition).
  • Apply strict radiation safety guidelines.
  • Ensure flawless data submissions to PACS.
  • Monitor machine functionality and report technical malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly clinical space.
