About The Position
Join the Mammography team at Utah Valley Hospital and help provide high-quality breast imaging services to patients in a supportive, patient-centered environment. This PRN position helps provide coverage for scheduled time off, call-outs, and other staffing needs within the department. Shifts may vary based on department needs and can include: Monday–Friday schedules 8-hour shifts (6:33 AM – 3:00 PM) 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM) As a Mammography Technologist, you'll perform both screening and diagnostic mammography exams while working closely with radiologists, physicians, and other members of the care team. You'll play an important role in ensuring patients receive accurate imaging and a positive experience throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registration
- Current state Radiologic Technologist license (if required in state of practice)
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers
Nice To Haves
- ARRT Mammography certification
- Experience in mammography
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams according to department protocols
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images using mammography equipment
- Perform advanced mammography procedures, including stereotactic biopsies and related procedures as appropriate
- Verify patient identification and exam orders
- Ensure patient comfort, education, and safety throughout the imaging process
- Maintain compliance with MQSA, ARRT, radiation safety, infection prevention, and departmental standards
- Complete accurate documentation and maintain patient records
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care
