About The Position

Clinical Excellence: Perform high-quality Screening/Diagnostic Mammography and DEXA (Bone Densitometry) scans in strict accordance with Atria safety protocols and California state regulations. Patient Safety & Comfort: Assume full responsibility for patient safety during imaging. Utilize proper positioning tools, equipment adjustments, and ergonomically correct techniques to ensure both diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort. Empathetic Communication: Communicate procedures clearly and compassionately, adapting your style to the patient’s level of understanding. Maintain professional boundaries by referring specific diagnostic or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician. Quality Control: Perform daily/weekly Quality Control (QC) tests on Mammography and DEXA equipment to ensure compliance with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) and California RHB requirements. Cross-Modality Support: As authorized, assist the clinical team by supporting other imaging modalities (e.g., MRI Focus or CT) to maintain seamless departmental workflow. Administrative Integrity: Ensure all images are accurately documented, labeled, and archived within the PACS/RIS (Athena/Ambra) for radiologist review. California Regulatory & Certification Requirements To practice in California, candidates must meet specific California Department of Public Health (CDPH) – Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) requirements: California CRT: Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology. California Mammography Certification: Valid California Mammography Technologist Certificate. Continuing Education: Must maintain 24 Category A CE credits every two years, including at least 15 credits specifically in Mammography (as required by MQSA/RHB). Requirements

  • California CRT: Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • California Mammography Certification: Valid California Mammography Technologist Certificate.
  • Continuing Education: Must maintain 24 Category A CE credits every two years, including at least 15 credits specifically in Mammography (as required by MQSA/RHB).
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program; Vocational or Technical School Diploma preferred.
  • Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) registration in good standing.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association).
  • 2+ years of dedicated experience as a Technologist in Mammography and DEXA.
  • Must be a compassionate and effective communicator with strong tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to a collegial work environment.
  • Must be okay with working 5x8s, paid in accordance to CA law
  • Potential for weekend availability as we scale west coast region

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred ARRT certification in Bone Densitometry (BD)
