About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Mammography Technologist - RT (R) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital - ACC Breast Center. This role performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, with the ability to learn additional responsibilities of Localizations, and stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies. The position offers day shift hours, Monday through Friday, with rotating shifts between 7 am and 4:30 pm, and requires two Saturdays a year. The location rotates between Siteman Cancer Center in the GCW Building & Center for Advanced medicine Building, with the option to also rotate to their South County, Highlands Screening Center, or the Mammography Van.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency
• R.T. (R) registry
• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
• RTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES

Nice To Haves

• RT (M) Certification – preferred but not required
• <2 years experience
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Intravenous Therapy

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms.
• Ability to learn additional responsibilities of Localizations, and stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies.
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
