Requirements

• Certification in Mammography from an accredited program and current state licensure.
• Proven experience performing mammographic imaging, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Strong understanding of breast anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality images.
• Knowledge of safety standards and radiation protection procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple patients.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical imaging software.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography procedures with precision and care, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment, adhering to safety standards and protocols.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
• Follow all safety guidelines and radiation protection protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and best practices through ongoing education.
