About The Position
The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for a Host/ess who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required. Perched above Hulopoʻe Bay, Los Angeles' Malibu Farm, a favorite of local residents, surfers and A-list celebrities alike, features the freshest local and organic ingredients for delicious lunch offerings. In the evening hours, relax poolside with refreshing island cocktails as the sun sets on another glorious day.
Requirements
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
- Holidays and weekends availability is required.
- Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
- Hawaii Food Handler's Card is required for this role
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and communicate restaurant offerings, daily specials, and menu information to ensure a seamless and welcoming dining experience
- Escort guests to their tables, communicate guest preferences and special requests to the service team, and maintain accurate reservation records and guest profiles to deliver personalized, anticipatory service
- Support dining room operations by clearing and sanitizing tables, resetting place settings, replenishing guest amenities, maintaining side stations, and ensuring all guest-facing areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, waiting areas, menus, and reservation systems while ensuring all materials meet appearance standards
- Professionally answer phones, manage reservations, respond to guest inquiries, and address concerns or complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and service excellence
- Assist service team members as needed to support efficient restaurant operations and an exceptional guest experience throughout service periods
