About The Position
Assist students and faculty with design and fabrication projects, train users on 3D printers and laser equipment, and maintain makerspace tools and supplies to support hands-on learning.
Requirements
- Operate and maintain 3D printers, laser cutters, and related equipment.
- Follow and promote safety procedures while keeping machines in good working order.
- Train and assist students and faculty in using makerspace tools.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment and projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Keep the makerspace running day to day and make sure equipment is ready to use.
- Run and maintain 3D printers, laser cutters, and other tools.
- Help students and faculty with their projects, from setup to troubleshooting.
- Show people how to use the machines safely and correctly.
- Keep track of supplies and let supervisors know when things are running low.
- Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and organized.
- Work with people from different programs and support a variety of projects.
