About The Position

NORY is seeking a Maker Education Fabricator with a passion for hands-on engineering, design-thinking, and mechatronics. The ideal candidate excels in designing learning experiences that inspire young minds through physical prototyping and experience design, and is eager to lead efforts in nurturing Generation Alpha. This role involves designing and fabricating STEM camp projects, integrating interdisciplinary learning, creating immersive thematic worlds, and communicating NORY's vision to teachers across campuses.

Requirements

  • Portfolio of maker projects including electronics (circuits, motors, sensors), digital & physical fabrication (woodworking, 3D printing, laser cutting), microcontrollers & platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Micro:bits), and coding tools (Scratch, Python, or advanced robotic frameworks).
  • Brief notes within the portfolio explaining the underlying purpose, design choices, and educational potential behind creations.
  • Passion for hands-on engineering, design-thinking, and mechatronics.
  • Excellence in designing learning experiences that inspire young minds through physical prototyping and experience design.
  • Eagerness to lead efforts in nurturing Generation Alpha.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly via video formats.
  • Deep understanding of children aged 3–12.

Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate hands-on STEM camp projects in robotics, engineering, and woodworking specifically tailored for children aged 3–12.
  • Utilize intellectual curiosity to integrate multiple learning domains into a unified, interdisciplinary experience that spans STEM and beyond.
  • Develop immersive thematic worlds as engaging as a theme park ride, leveraging storytelling skills to enhance educational impact.
  • Empower teachers across all NORY campuses to consistently deliver the vision, utilizing strong communication skills (particularly via video formats).
  • Apply a deep understanding of children aged 3–12 to masterfully tailor physical projects to their exact developmental stages and interests.
  • Train and coach teachers to become the stars of our campsites, enabling them to safely and effectively utilize the tools, machinery, and projects developed.
