About The Position

Morgan Properties is hiring Make Ready Service Technicians at The Ridge at Merriman Valley in Akron, OH. This role is crucial for preparing apartment units for new residents and maintaining the property. The community is large, offering opportunities for career growth within maintenance.

Requirements

• Active and valid driver's license and personal vehicle
• Live within a 30-minute commute of the property
• One year of related maintenance experience, or equivalent education and experience
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

• Traditional maintenance skills and hands-on experience preferred
• Experience with apartment turns, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and basic electrical work preferred
• HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Standard apartment turns and unit preparation
• Basic appliance repair and troubleshooting
• Drywall repair and touch-up painting
• Basic electrical repairs and fixture replacement
• Caulking and apartment touch-ups
• Trash-out and debris removal
• Testing locks and key sets
• Assisting with property inspections and apartment walks
• Maintaining grounds and common areas including trash pickup, sweeping sidewalks and breezeways, etc.
• Assisting Maintenance Technicians, Porters, and Housekeeping as needed

• Base Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour
