About The Position

This position is responsible for performing skilled and unskilled maintenance tasks to maintain and improve property function for clients. The technician undertakes maintenance activities on behalf of property owners and develops maintenance skills under a lead’s supervision. The role receives written work orders or verbal instructions from a supervisor. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic carpentry, electrical work, basic plumbing, and installation of appliances and fixtures in properties.
• Receive written work orders or verbal instructions from a supervisor.
• Paint interior and exterior walls and trim.
• Learn maintenance skills under a lead’s supervision.
• Operate pressure-wash equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
• Learn to repair building plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
• Install light fixtures and power-supply outlets.
• Maintain and repair wood parts of buildings.
• Replace worn or damaged parts, such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as trucks, street sweepers, and riding mowers.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies, and cleaning facilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
