About The Position
The Make Ready Technician prepares vacant apartments for new move-ins and helps maintain clean, sanitary, and safe common areas throughout the community, including laundry rooms, breezeways, and grounds. The position involves completing apartment make-ready work, performing cleaning and basic maintenance tasks, and notifying property management and maintenance leadership about concerns or preventative maintenance needs.
Requirements
- Must demonstrate English-language literacy, including reading.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments as directed, including painting and cleaning when required.
- Alert the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to concerns, occurrences, and preventative maintenance requiring attention.
- Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors; vacuum hallways, stairs, and office space.
- Shovel snow from walks and driveways and spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice or snow buildup.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, windowsills, doors, and door panels.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and built-in shelves or bookcases.
- Empty wastebaskets, trash cans, and ashtrays, including those in office space.
- Replenish restroom supplies.
- Replace light bulbs and move furniture.
- Clean drainage ditches and culverts.
- Remove litter from community grounds.
