About The Position
The Make-Ready Tech prepares vacant apartments for market-ready condition by performing non-technical maintenance tasks. The position also supports property inspections, grounds and common-area upkeep, pool maintenance, and other maintenance staff as needed. The technician must participate in paid rotating on-call coverage and be available for snow, ice, and other site emergencies. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and may change based on business needs.
Requirements
- Active, valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- Live within a 30-minute commute of the property.
- One year of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Must be available and prepared for emergency events.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant apartments for market-ready condition.
- Perform caulking, drywall repair, and touch-up painting.
- Test locks and key sets.
- Assist with property inspections.
- Maintain exterior lighting.
- Repair ground equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
- Maintain grounds and common areas, including picking up trash, sweeping sidewalks and driveways, and removing snow.
- Assist Maintenance Technicians, the Porter, and the Housekeeper as necessary.
- Perform pool maintenance.
- Participate in paid rotating on-call coverage and be available for snow, ice, and other site emergencies.
