About The Position
The Edge of Washington Student Living Apartments is currently hiring a Full Time Make Ready Technician / Porter for our apartment community in San Antonio, TX.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of tools and general maintenance practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines during turn periods
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
- Clear communication with maintenance team and management
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions
Responsibilities
- Complete unit turns and prepare apartments for move-in
- Painting, drywall patching, and minor repairs within units
- Basic plumbing (toilets, faucets, disposals) and basic electrical (outlets, light fixtures)
- Replace/repair fixtures, hardware, and appliances as needed
- Ensure units meet company move-in standards and pass final inspection
- Identify and report larger maintenance issues during turns
- Maintain overall property cleanliness (grounds, hallways, amenities, parking areas)
- Trash removal and dumpster area upkeep
- Address curb appeal issues and cleanliness between turns
- Assist with light work orders and support maintenance team as needed
