About The Position
Colonial Apartments is now hiring a Porter / Make Ready near the Heights area. This role involves preparing vacant apartments for market-ready status, maintaining the property's grounds and common areas, and providing excellent customer service to residents. The position also supports the maintenance team with various tasks and ensures the community remains neat and welcoming.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance or custodial work is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements
- Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas
- Provide residents with outstanding customer service
- Keep the property clean and free of trash and debris
- Pick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spaces
- Clean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areas
- Maintain dumpster and trash areas
- Assist the maintenance team with light tasks when needed
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management
- Help keep the community neat and welcoming for residents
