About The Position

Ci Siamo is a restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and James Beard semifinalist Chef Hillary Sterling. Located at Manhattan West, this NYT Top 100 restaurant celebrates the beauty of simplicity centering around live-fire cooking. The Italian-inflected menu takes inspiration from Chef Sterling’s extensive travels and is rooted in the understated excellence of seasonal ingredients and purposeful preparations. Ci Siamo, which loosely translates to “we’ve made it” or “we’ve arrived,” bridges the traditional with the contemporary to introduce a new space that is at once transportive yet warmly familiar. Ci Siamo’s upcoming Boston location will embody the same dynamic energy and commitment to culinary excellence as its New York original. Located at Commonwealth Pier, an exciting new waterfront project within the Seaport neighborhood, Ci Siamo Boston looks forward to assembling a talented opening team in our new home.

Requirements

2+ years in a guest-facing restaurant role
A passion for guest experience and hospitality
English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time

Responsibilities

Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests. Recognizing VIP guests, regular guests and actively trying to create new ones
Quote accurate wait times while “finding the yes” for all guests
Act as a liaison between the guest, management, service staff and kitchen and communicate accordingly
Work with efficiency and a sense of urgency while remaining composed
Demonstrate an understanding of reservations booking strategies and a working knowledge of all functions of Sevenrooms
Coordinate with management and guest experience team to “build the book” and boost cover counts while taking into consideration both the needs of the business and the needs of our guests
