About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of assigned equipment maintenance and repair work under limited supervision as a qualified, multi-skilled technician. Areas of responsibility include welding, sheet metal, carpentry, pipe fitting, machinery, rolling stock, mechanical power transmission, rotary equipment, stationary equipment, PC program manipulation, electrical devices, and wiring.

Requirements

• Leadership experience: team leadership, scheduling/planning, etc. Needs the ability to manage teams during shutdown, down days, and breakdowns.
• Proven track record of decision making and critical thinking.
• Computer skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude.
• Welding and Fabrication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree in applicable field, or better
• Existing skills in welding, sheet metal, carpentry, pipe fitting, machinery, rolling stock, mechanical power transmission, rotary equipment, stationary equipment, PC program manipulation, electrical devices, and/or wiring.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and other applicable standards.
• Familiarity with drawings: electrical, mechanical, and/or structural.
• Familiarity with WCO methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis of electrical and mechanical malfunction; identifies and secures replacement parts; and makes necessary repairs.
• Helps support and assist operators.
• Complete WO’s and PM’s in a timely manner with minimal direction.
• Uphold maintenance standards.
• Flow to the work leadership.
• Utilize CMMS system (document labor hrs & spare part accurately on all equipment, work order processes, documentation processes).
• Document equipment, drawing changes, & help maintain equipment history files.
• Other duties as assigned.
