About The Position

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is accepting applications for a Maintenance position for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is located at the Warehouse and involves 8 hours of work per day for 260 days per year (July-June). The Maintenance position performs a variety of duties in maintenance, construction, repair, and warehouse operations as assigned by the maintenance supervisor. Occasional leadership of a crew may be required. Journeyman experience in at least one trade (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, grounds work) is desired, and proper licensing/certification (e.g., IPM Certification) may be required.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Experience in general construction and/or maintenance work, involving some driving of light trucks or other equipment, sheetrock finishing, concrete finishing, carpet & vinyl repair, roofing, painting and framing.
  • Possession of a current Oregon Driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of basic operations, tools and terms used in building and maintenance work; methods and practices followed in maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy work; follow oral and written instructions; establish and maintain harmonious relationships with students, fellow employees and the general public.
  • Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
  • Must show proof of successful completion of a Pre-Employment Functional Exam prior to a final job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman experience in at least one trade (i.e.; carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, grounds work, etc.).
  • Proper licensing and certification will be required on some occasions (i.e.; IPM Certification).
  • Bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish preferred.
