About The Position

The Part-Time PRN Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of CPSEMO’s Liberty Apartment properties. This position ensures that all units and common areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents. The Maintenance Technician will assist with repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on an as-needed basis, providing critical support to CPSEMO’s housing team to maintain high property standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Missouri driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in building maintenance, property management, or a related trade preferred.
• HVAC or trade certifications a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Good communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents or staff in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete work orders, inspections, and documentation accurately and promptly.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
• Inspect properties regularly for safety hazards, maintenance issues, and needed repairs.
• Assist with groundskeeping duties such as mowing, trimming, snow removal, and general exterior upkeep.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Coordinate with property management and Housing Program Director to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety protocols and comply with CPSEMO’s maintenance and housing standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
