Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance; hospital setting preferred.
  • Must be able to operate independently and handle a variety of building systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and repair work to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of hospital buildings and systems.
  • Supports daily plant operations and contributes to regulatory compliance and facility improvements.
  • Reports daily to the Director of Plant Operations regarding facility conditions and the progress of assigned tasks.
  • Supports the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance.
  • Collaborates with other departments to schedule work, establish priorities, and coordinate materials and supplies.
  • Performs maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations.
  • Assists with facility fire and safety inspections and implements safety protocols in coordination with the Safety and Security Departments.
  • Collaborates with clinical and administrative departments for facility support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
